Job Referrals, a listing of currently vacant positions from area churches and synagogues. Items for Job Referrals should be emailed to David Howitt. Publication deadline is the 10th of the month preceding issue. Inclusion of information in Job Referrals listings does not imply endorsement by the AGO, its committees, or local chapters. The American Guild of Organists cannot accept responsibility for the accuracy of the material provided for these listings. Salaries listed do not necessarily represent current compensation expectations of either the national organization or local AGO chapters.

As a professional association, the American Guild of Organists expects the highest standard of professional behavior on the part of its members. AGO members are bound by a Code of Ethics and guided by a Code of Professional Standards. Similarly, the Guild has established guidelines and recommended standards regarding the employment of its members. To familiarize potential employers with these standards, the Guild's Guidelines for Employment, its Guidelines for Compensation for Musicians Employed by Religious Institutions, and Salary Guide are published. Before posting your job listing, we will provide these materials and we ask that you read and understand these guidelines. For institutions, these materials should be shared with colleagues, committee members, or others involved with the employment process.

The AGO has a national policy of freedom from discrimination based on age, race, gender, sexual orientation, and disability unrelated to job performance; it encourages contracts and up-to-date job descriptions, as well as well-equipped office and work areas. In observance of these guidelines, we are unable to list jobs that violate these policies..
